CHRYSALIS

Chrysalis, curated by Julie Walsh, is an international exhibition featuring visual and sound artists/composers who explore different aspects of human relationships with technology and nature through their works. In this exhibition, artists address identity, ecology, spirituality, embodied cognition, and technological transformation through a diverse range of artistic practices, from sculpture to XR and digital art.

Thiel explores the interplay of place, space, the body, and cultural identity in her works, which often incorporate artificial intelligence, augmented reality, and virtual reality.

Matthew D. Gantt

Matthew D. Gantt is an artist, composer, and educator based between New York City and Troy, NY. His work focuses on sound in virtual spaces, generative systems facilitated by idiosyncratic technology, and digital production presets as sonic readymades.

Matteo Zamagni

The Tales of Unlived Pasts and Forgotten Futures.

Anamnesis serves as a powerful eulogy, mourning the passing of what it once meant to be human and celebrating what it could mean to be human in the future that we are so fervently imagining.

Portrait XO is an independent researcher and artist who creates musical and visual works using traditional and non-traditional methods, often in collaboration with AI.

Carla Gannis is a transmedia artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work considers the complications between grounded and virtual reality, nature and artifice, and science and science fiction in contemporary culture

Sophie Kahn

Sophie Kahn is a digital artist and sculptor based in Brooklyn, New York. Her work addresses technology’s failure to capture the human body and has been exhibited in galleries and festivals around the world.
